Frequently asked questions
Can every brake disc be resurfaced?
No. A disc can only be resurfaced while it stays above the manufacturer's minimum thickness, with no cracks or excessive warping. We check it first; if it's outside tolerance, we recommend replacement.
Does resurfacing remove braking vibration?
Often, when the vibration comes from a warped or uneven disc. Other causes exist (pads, hub, tyres), which is why we always start with a diagnosis.
How long does it take?
Inspection and resurfacing are usually done the same day, by appointment. Duration depends on the discs' condition and how many need work.
How much does resurfacing a disc cost?
80 DH per disc. The price is fixed and quoted before the work.
Do you have to dismantle a lot of parts?
No. We remove only what's needed to inspect and resurface the discs. Dr Disk specialises in brake discs and does not perform full vehicle mechanical repairs.
